GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida’s first three-game winning streak in three years happened at home, in the cozy confines of the Swamp. If the 22nd-ranked Gators (3-1, 1-0 Southeastern Conference) are going to accomplish anything beyond making a middling bowl, they need to find similar success outside Gainesville. Florida has lost 14 of its last 16 games away from Florida Field, a staggering stretch of futility for a program accustomed to competing for championships.Coach Billy Napier’s team will try to end a five-game skid in road or neutral-site games when it plays at Kentucky (4-0, 1-0) on Saturday. The Gators are 2 ½-point underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.“I do think there are challenges that come with going on the road and playing in this league,” Napier said. It’s not just the SEC.Florida struggled to stay organized and get off plays in its opener at then-No. 14 Utah last month. The Gators were penalized nine times, including seven pre-snap infractions. False starts. Il...Sophia Loren after leg-fracture surgery: ‘Thanks for all the affection, I’m better,’ just need rest

The New York Jets are adding veteran quarterback Trevor Siemian to the practice squad, according to a person with knowledge of the decision. The move Tuesday is pending a physical for the 31-year-old Siemian, the person told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team hadn’t announced the signing.ESPN first reported the team’s plans to add Siemian, who will give the Jets an experienced backup for embattled starter Zach Wilson.Wilson has struggled since taking over for Aaron Rodgers, who tore his left Achilles tendon four snaps into his debut with New York. Wilson has two touchdown passes and four interceptions with a 52.4 percent completion rate and is averaging just 5.6 yards per pass. After the Jets’ 15-10 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, coach Robert Saleh insisted the team was sticking with Wilson because “right now, he’s who gives us the best chance to win.” That didn’t sit well with fans — including Pro Football Hall of Fame...Families of those killed by fentanyl gather at DEA as US undergoes deadliest overdose crisis
