EU wants to sanction Russians involved in child abductions, says Dutch prime minister The European Union is looking to broaden sanctions against Russia to target people involved in the abduction of children from Ukraine, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte (pictured) said on Wednesday (31 May)."The eleventh package of sanctions we are working on includes the option to go after those responsible for child abductions," Rutte said at a joint news conference with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in The Hague."That's something we are working on. 2 people hospitalized after gunfire erupts in Mid-City neighborhood Two gunshot victims, an adult and a juvenile, were taken to the hospital after gunfire erupted in a Mid-City neighborhood Thursday evening while residents on the street watched the terrifying incident play out. Officers responded to the area of Guthrie Avenue and Corning Street at around 6:42 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.  At the scene, police located two victims, a 14-year-old and a 30-year-old who were conscious and breathing. Crime spree leaves three dead in South Bay SAN JOSE – Two people were run over and killed and two others were critically injured in separate stabbings in San Jose, while a fifth person was stabbed to death in Milpitas – all apparently by the same suspect – on Thursday afternoon, police said.A suspect was arrested near the scene of the fatal stabbing in Milpitas, according to the Milpitas Police Department. DA Price shares details of gruesome Hayward killing (KRON) -- In a video posted on Thursday, Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price revealed details about a Hayward homicide that happened on May 11. The suspect, Vaughn Boatner, 33, of San Mateo, was arrested on May 22 in Seattle, Washington. Boatner is accused of fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend, 30-year-old Monique Alridge of Hayward. Price was told by police that Boatner also shot Jacques Jackson Fields, who was Aldridge's new boyfriend. Aldridge was shot seven times in the head, per DA Price.
