Ahead of St. Patrick’s Day, iconic Dogtown business announces ownership change ST. LOUIS - Ahead of Friday’s huge St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the Dogtown neighborhood, one business in the area is changing owners. Joe Jovanovich, the owner of The Pat Connolly Tavern, says his family is selling the business.“It wasn’t something we were looking for necessarily, but we were approached with this opportunity," Jovanovich said. "At first, we were like, no way, but then as we thought about it more and opened our minds to what it could look like, we ended up deciding to give it a shot.”According to Jovanovich, some restaurant owners felt reenergized as a result of their businesses surviving the pandemic. Hundreds honor fallen Hermann police officer in candlelight vigil ROSEBUD, Mo. - A fallen Hermann police officer, Detective Sergeant Mason Griffith, is remembered by hundreds in a candlelight vigil Tuesday night in Rosebud.The community of Rosebud packed the red barn event space off Highway 50 at 7 p.m., showing their support for the Griffith family. Among the attendees were members of multiple law enforcement agencies that he was a part of.The vigil started with speakers including the mayor, sheriff, pastor, and a local alderman who was a close friend of Griffith. Man hospitalized after stabbing at a Corona gym A man was hospitalized after being stabbed at a gym in Corona on Tuesday.The suspect was identified as Ronald Chand, 30, from Santa Ana, by the Corona Police Department.Officers responded to reports of an assault with injury at a Planet Fitness located at 3685 Grand Oaks around 9:20 a.m.When police arrived, they found a 41-year-old Riverside man with several stab wounds on his upper body.Authorities say the suspect, Chand, initially approached the victim in the parking lot and assaulted him with a hatchet and a knife.The two men eventually ended up inside the gym where Chand held the victim at knifepoint for a short time before he was taken to the ground by the victim, police said.Bystanders intervened and disarmed Chand while detaining him before the police arrived.A suspect was arrested for allegedly stabbing a man at a Corona gym on March 14, 2023. 4 men facing murder charges in connection with death of 34-year-old man in Riverside County Four men have been arrested and face charges of murder in connection with the death of a 35-year-old man in Riverside County, authorities announced Tuesday.  The alleged homicide occurred on Feb. 26, just before 6:30 p.m., at a residence in the 38000 block of Via Majorca in La Cresta.  Deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, who responded to the scene on reports of a shooting, discovered the victim, Andrew Cisneros, suffering from gunshot wounds. They attempted life saving measures until paramedics arrived, but the 34-year-old was declared dead at the scene, according to an RCSD news release.  At that time, investigators said that at least two suspects had fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.  Less than a month later, one of the suspects in the case was identified 29-year-old Jose Daniel Aguilar from Orange.
