DENVER — Aaron Boone didn’t sound optimistic after Josh Donaldson hobbled down the first base line in the seventh inning of the Yankees’ Saturday win over the Rockies.Donaldson, who was “a little beat up” prior to the All-Star break and designated hitting for the second consecutive day on Saturday, hurt his right calf, according to Boone. The third baseman moved slowly out of the box after hitting a weak groundball to shortstop. As Donaldson approached first base, he began to hop on his left leg before jogging gingerly to the Yankees’ dugout.“We’ll see,” Boone said when asked if Donaldson was all right. “He’s gonna get testing and stuff but wasn’t great.”The manager specified that Donaldson will need an MRI.Asked if it was Donaldson’s calf that had been bothering him before the break, Boone said, “It’s a different spot. It’s been kind of off and on all year.”If Donaldson goes ...DeAndre Hopkins picks Titans over Patriots, so what’s next in New England?

Many questions remained Sunday about what led a gunman in Fargo, North Dakota, to open fire on police officers as they were responding to a traffic crash. One officer was killed and two others were critically wounded before the gunman was killed by a fourth officer. The shooting happened Friday afternoon along a busy street, and roughly nine hours passed before authorities told the public that officers were shot. On Saturday, Fargo’s police chief released the names of the officers and the name of the gunman, but said the motive was unclear and that the 37-year-old man opened fire for “no known reason at all.” Chief Dave Zibolski also said little about how the situation unfolded, noting the investigation was in the hands of state and federal investigators. “We are not in the position to provide many details in terms of the actual incident itself,” Zibolski said. Authorities released no new information Sunday. Here’s what we know, and what we don’t, about the shootin...Long Island serial killings arrest brings both pain and relief to victims’ families

For a time, doubts swirled about whether a killer who dumped the remains of his female victims along remote stretches of coastline on New York’s Long Island would ever be caught. Then finally, after more than a dozen long years, bereaved families of the victims were provided with a whiff of relief Friday when authorities announced the arrest of a 59-year-old architect who they believe is responsible for the deaths. The arrest rekindled anger and grief — but also brought the prospect of closure — for family members including Amy Brotz, whose cousin, Melissa Barthelemy, was the first of the victims to be discovered, found accidentally during a search for another woman.“I can’t wrap my head around this,” Brotz said, just hours after being startled by the unexpected news of an arrest. “God has brought peace to the families,” she said. “Maybe we can start the healing.”The yearslong ordeal was especially unnerving fo...Two people critically injured in gondola crash at Quebec resort Mont-Tremblant
