New video obtained by 7NEWS shows the moment a man on a bicycle shoots at another man in the North End. Police swarmed the area around Modern Pastry on Hanover Street shortly before 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday night. The business, police said, was closed at the time and no one was hurt. 7NEWS obtained the video of the shooting and details from a police report, which explains the suspect and the victim have a years-long feud. Police said there have been no arrests.In the video, a bicyclist shoots at the victim in the street, who hides behind a car. After an exchange, the victim runs away. The shooter then pedals away. The victim was not injured, but the bullet shattered Modern Pastry’s window.A man inside the shop was about 15 feet away when shots were fired.“It was a very terrifying experience in that it could have hit any of us. Stanley Cup Champion Jack Eichel received a hero’s welcome Friday as he brought the Stanley Cup to the ice rink he grew up playing at in Tyngsboro. A massive crowd of people were on hand to see the legendary trophy. Speaking outside the rink, Eichel said the opportunity to bring the cup home is a dream come true. Eichel’s visit happened at Skate 3 in Tyngsboro, where Eichel started skating on his fourth birthday. The hockey star grew up in North Chelmsford, just a few miles from Skate 3.After his won won the Stanley Cup with the Vegas Golden Knights this year, Eichel’s father, Bob Eichel, said it was important to bring the trophy back to the spot where his hockey journey started. Lightning wrecked havoc in Leominster and Tewksbury Friday, with one man struck by lightning and a home ablaze.Mary Gallagher was in her Leominster home while an electrician worked on the spotlight above her townhouse. People who live on Berrington Road said one man was up on a lift as storms rolled through the town. An employee at Di-Rock Electric confirmed to 7NEWS that one of their workers was struck by lightning on the job.“It sounded like it was going to come through the house,” she said. “They are wanting to put up new lights. They want to put up a solar light. That’s what he was working on but it came down hard, and the lightning was unbelievable.”The Leominster Fire Department said the worker was awake and alert when they transported him to the hospital. A Norwood man charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of his daughter in 2021 will remain in custody following a court appearance on Friday. Anthony Decosta, 36, was recently indicted in the case related to the death of his five-month-old daughter. In addition to manslaughter, Decosta has also been charged with reckless endangerment of a child and witness intimidation, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s office. The DA’s office said Decosta was arrested following the grand jury indictment on Tuesday. He was ordered to undergo a competency evaluation. A Danvers man died after a motorcycle collision on Route 1 in Newbury Thursday night, while the surviving motorcyclist riding next to him was arrested and charged with operating under the influence.James Turcotte, 63, was pronounced dead at Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport following the crash.Scott Dambrosio, 55, of Boxford, has been charged with OUI, negligent operation and leaving the scene of a personal injury collision resulting in death.On Thursday at about 7:45 p.m., police received a report that two motorcycles riding together on Route 1 South collided just south of 96 Newburyport Turnpike.Turcotte was seriously injured and taken to the hospital, where he later died. LA MESA, Calif. — A man was killed Thursday after a stabbing at a trolley station, La Mesa police said.According to LMPD, police received a 911 call around 8:40 p.m. reporting a man down at the 70th Street Trolley station at 7255 Alvarado Road.A Metropolitan Transit System employee began CPR on the suspect until police officers and medical personnel arrived on scene, LMPD Public Information Officer Katherine Lynch said in a news release.
