ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On Wednesday evening, Albany Police Chief Eric Hawkins and Mayor Kathy Sheehan held a press conference regarding the reported shooting on Hudson Avenue. According to Chief Hawkins, Albany Police received reports of shots fired in the area of 400 Hudson Avenue at around 1:03 p.m. Police were on the scene within minutes and located the victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the head area.The victim of the shooting on Hudson Avenue was treated on scene. They are currently in critical condition at the Albany Medical Center. Police interviewed witnesses and got a description of the vehicle. The crime analysis center identified the vehicle and license plate and surveillance observed the vehicle heading southbound on I-87.A "Be On the Lookout" was issued to New York State Police. SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) - Illinois was one of several states whose capitol building received a bomb threat Wednesday morning. The Illinois Secretary of State gave WCIA the following statement about the bomb threat: Early this morning, the Illinois Secretary of State Police responded to a bomb threat emailed to officials in multiple states that involved Capitol Buildings across the country, including in Springfield. The Department’s Hazardous Device Unit conducted sweeps of the interior and exterior of the Capitol as well as the public areas of the adjacent Howlett, Stratton and Archives buildings on the Capitol grounds as a precautionary measure. The investigation revealed no evidence supporting the credibility of a threat and no imminent danger was identified. ST. LOUIS - A man accused of arson last year in the City of St. Louis faces a felony charge.Gerald A. Sansoucie, 60, is linked to an arson at a home on Pennsylvania Avenue in late May. Missing person’s report filed after sudden closure of nursing home According to a probable cause statement released Wednesday, Sansoucie admitted to intentionally throwing an incendiary device onto the roof of a home. Court documents allege he was outside attempting to scare one of the victims who was sleeping inside the building. The event was captured on surveillance video. Now, the California Department of Food and Agriculture has issued a warning about another “highly invasive” pest causing disease in citrus fruits across Southern California.The Huanglongbing (HLB) or Citrus Greening pathogen is found predominantly in Asia but has also been reported in several U.S. states as well as the Caribbean, Mexico and other parts of Latin America over the past 20 years.
