SAN DIEGO -- San Diego is experiencing one of the top 17 wettest years on record, with more than four inches of rain above normal levels.“The rain is good, the precipitation is good and it’s really helping us get out of a drought," Chris Robbins with the Vallecitos Water District said.“We’ve had three consecutive dry years, and this water year, which started October 1, has been a really fantastic water year. SAN DIEGO -- Clocks are springing forward Sunday at 2 a.m. for the start of daylight saving time (DST). However, health experts continue to weigh in on the impacts. BEIRUT (AP) — Israeli missiles targeted a western Syrian city on Sunday wounding three Syrian soldiers, Syrian state media reported.The official news agency SANA, citing a military source, said the missiles were fired at Masyaf in Hama province at dawn. Syria’s air defenses shot several of them down. No deaths were reported. Photos from SANA show that the missiles may have landed on farmland.There was no immediate comment from Israel, which has staged hundreds of strikes on targets in Syria over the years. Police are investigating after shots rang out at a Redondo Beach mall as crowds of shoppers enjoyed their Saturday afternoon.One person was hospitalized after the shooting. Over 130 people were cited in California on Saturday for allegedly purchasing alcohol for minors.Authorities conducted a “Shoulder Tap” operation statewide that involved 44 local law enforcement agencies throughout the state in partnership with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC).During the operation, a minor under the supervision of law enforcement stands outside of a liquor or convenience store and asks customers to buy them alcohol.The minor will indicate they are underage and cannot purchase alcohol.“If an adult agrees to purchase alcohol for the underage person, they can be arrested and cited for furnishing alcohol to a minor,” authorities said.Suspect arrested in Manhattan Beach for allegedly buying alcohol for a minor during a statewide undercover operation.
